1. Introduction

Indi Andaz ("we", "our", "us") operates the Indi Andaz Seller Portal available at seller.indiandaz.com and the Indi Andaz Seller mobile application (together, the "Seller App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about registered vendors ("sellers") who use the Seller App.

By registering as a seller or using the Seller App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. This policy is separate from the buyer-facing privacy policy published at indiandaz.com/privacy-policy.

2. Information We Collect

a) Account & Identity Information

  • Full name, email address, mobile phone number
  • Business name, store description, and category
  • Government-issued identity details (PAN, GST number) for tax compliance
  • Profile and store banner images you upload

b) Financial & Payment Information

  • Bank account number, IFSC code, or UPI ID for receiving payouts
  • Subscription plan and billing history
  • Ledger entries (credits, debits, platform commissions)

We do not store raw card numbers. Payment transactions are processed by our payment partners (e.g. Razorpay) under their own PCI-DSS compliant systems.

c) Store & Product Data

  • Product listings: titles, descriptions, prices, stock levels, images, categories
  • Inventory and warehouse/pickup address details
  • Coupons, promotions, and pricing rules you create

d) Order & Transaction Data

  • Orders placed by buyers for your products (order IDs, items, amounts)
  • Shipment tracking details and courier information
  • Return and refund requests related to your orders

e) Location Information

  • Store / pickup address and pincode
  • Coarse location (city / region) used for shipping estimates — only when you grant permission

f) Device & Usage Information

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Push notification token (for order alerts and updates)
  • IP address, browser/app session data, crash reports
  • In-app navigation and feature usage (to improve the Seller App)

g) Meta / Social Integration Data (optional)

  • Facebook / Instagram OAuth access tokens (stored encrypted)
  • Page and Instagram account identifiers you connect
  • Webhook payloads: comment / message IDs, text for keyword matching, sender / thread IDs, optional media IDs

This data is collected only if you voluntarily enable Meta social automation features.

h) Support & Communications

  • Messages you send via the in-app support chat
  • Dispute and ticket details

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Account management: Create and maintain your seller account; verify your identity; communicate important updates.
  • Platform operations: Display your store and products to buyers; process orders, payments, and payouts; manage returns and disputes.
  • Shipping & logistics: Generate shipping labels, calculate delivery estimates, and share necessary details with courier partners.
  • Analytics & dashboard: Provide you with sales analytics, revenue reports, and performance insights visible only to you.
  • Notifications: Send you order alerts, low-inventory warnings, and platform announcements via push notifications and email.
  • Meta social automation: If enabled, route Facebook / Instagram comments and messages through your configured automation rules.
  • Fraud prevention & security: Detect unusual activity, investigate abuse, and keep the platform safe.
  • Legal & tax compliance: Retain transaction records as required by applicable Indian law (GST, IT Act, etc.).
  • Product improvement: Understand how sellers use the Seller App to fix bugs and build new features.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below:

  • Buyers: Your store name, city/region, product information, and seller rating are visible to buyers on the marketplace.
  • Shipping partners (e.g. Shiprocket, Delhivery): Order details and delivery address required to fulfil shipments.
  • Payment processors (e.g. Razorpay): Payout details required to transfer your earnings.
  • Meta Platforms Inc.: OAuth tokens and webhook data are exchanged with Meta's APIs if you enable social automation. Meta is a data subprocessor under its own Data Policy.
  • Cloud & infrastructure providers: Our hosting, storage, and analytics infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
  • Legal obligations: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, seller data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your seller account is active. After account closure we keep records needed for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes (typically 7 years for financial records as required by Indian law). Device identifiers and analytics data are deleted or anonymised within 12 months of your last active session.

Meta OAuth tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect your social accounts from the Seller App or when your account is closed.

6. Your Rights

As a seller registered with Indi Andaz you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information via your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: Request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention obligations). See our Data Deletion instructions.
  • Portability: Request an export of your store and transaction data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: Disconnect Meta social accounts or opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
  • Notification opt-out: Manage push notification preferences from your device settings.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@indiandaz.com with the subject "Data request — seller account". We aim to respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive credentials (OAuth tokens, bank details), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Please notify us immediately at support@indiandaz.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

8. Children's Privacy

The Seller App is intended solely for adults (18 years or older) operating a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete that information promptly.

9. Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Integration

Optional feature: The social automation feature is entirely optional. If you enable it, we use Meta's Graph API and Webhooks so you can auto-reply to comments and messages on your Facebook Page or Instagram Business account.

What we access: Page access tokens, Instagram account identifiers, incoming comment / message payloads (IDs, text, sender info) required to run your automation rules. We do not access your personal Facebook profile, friend lists, or any data beyond what is necessary for the automation you configure.

Data use: Webhook payloads are processed in real-time to match keywords and trigger replies. Minimal logs are retained for deduplication (up to 30 days). We do not use this data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Disconnect: Go to Store & settings → Social accounts and click "Disconnect". We immediately revoke and delete your tokens on our side.

Meta acts as a subprocessor under its own Meta Data Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the Seller App and/or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Seller App after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
