The Instagram item appears in the sidebar when the feature is enabled. It is Meta keyword auto-reply, not a second catalogue and not a WhatsApp bot.
After login you use
These are private Seller Portal screens. They are not in the public sitemap. This article only explains what they do.
How to do it
Step 1
Connect Instagram Business and the Facebook Page
Finish OAuth. Check the status row for username, Page name and errors.
Step 2
Add a keyword rule
Example: “price” or “link” replies with the product or shop URL. Scope channels so comments and DMs do not surprise you.
Step 3
Share the store, not a UPI screenshot workflow
The point of the feature is checkout on the store. Instant Orders explains why chat-only selling drops buyers.
What you connect
Instagram Business linked to a Facebook Page, via Meta OAuth. Personal Instagram without a Business account and Page is not enough for this feature.
Channels a rule can cover
Pick one or more: Instagram comments, Instagram DMs, Facebook Page comments, Messenger. Match can be contains or whole word. You can optionally limit a rule to specific posts or reels.
What the buyer gets
A product URL or store URL — using your verified custom domain when one is set. They check out with UPI, cards or COD on the store. You see the order in Orders like any other online sale. Activity rows on this screen show what fired.
What this is not
- Not WhatsApp Business API or an AI chatbot that closes sales in chat.
- Not native Instagram Live checkout.
- Not a duplicate product list for Instagram.
